THE ECONOMY
We can achieve fiscal responsibility, by spending our tax dollars smarter.
Because of the Bush fiscal policies, supported by Rodney Frelinghuysen
trillions of our tax dollars are being spent to fund the Iraq war and tax
breaks for the millionaire and billionaire friends of this Administration.
They have spent more money than we actually have by borrowing
against future tax dollars and leaving our children and grandchildren to
pay the bill.
This out of control spending has left the states, including New Jersey,
without enough funds. Consequently, our property taxes have soared
and the state has no choice but to seek more ways to raise revenue at our expense. With an end
to the war and an end to the tax breaks for the super wealthy, we can put our tax dollars back to
work here at home for the benefit of the people of our state and our district.
As your representative, I will make sure our tax dollars are spent on homeland security, lowering
property taxes, providing tuition, tax credits, strengthening Social Security and Medicare, and
cleaning up toxic Superfund sites that threaten our health. We need to spend our tax dollars
where it benefits us most.
It’s just common sense!
